- Joshua Markovits, Esq.
Associate Attorney
Joshua Markovits joined Lemberg Law shortly after graduating from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During his studies, Mr. Markovits served as a judicial intern in the chambers of a New York Supreme Court judge and a United States District Court judge. He also worked as an intern for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Division of Enforcement.
Attorney Markovits has played a pivotal role in several significant cases across the country, including Duchene vs. Westlake Services, LLC, Brown v. Rita’s Water Ice Franchise Co. LLC, Larson v. Harman Management Corporation, Sager et al. v. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc., Horton v. Navient Solutions, Inc., Horton et al. v. Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC, Gero v. ADT LLC, Carlson v. Target Enterprise, Inc., O’Neill v. Carrington Mortgage Services, LLC, Salisbury v. Central Credit Services, Inc., Russell v. Rent-A-Center, Inc. d/b/a Acceptance Nos, Breda v. Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless, Ayad v. JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., and McAuliffe v. Citizens Bank, N.A.
These cases involved TCPA violations, breach of warranty, consumer protection statutes, and regulatory compliance issues. Attorney Markovits’s efforts led recoveries of millions of dollars for consumers.
Recently, he has led the firm’s efforts in several cases against General Motors, including class certification in Jefferson v. General Motors.
