Alarm TCPA Class Action – In Abante Rooter and Plumbing Inc. et al. vs. Alarm.com Inc filed in California, consumers allege that Alarm.com Inc violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by robocalling wireless phone numbers without the recipients’ prior express written consent.

What is the Alarm TCPA Class Action Settlement for Unwanted Telemarketing Robocalls?

A $28 settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging Alarm.com Inc violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by using an automatic telephone dialing system to make generic telemarketing robocalls to over 1.2 million wireless numbers, without any signed, written consent of its users

The suit, launched in December 2015, alleges the Virginia-based security system provider and its dealer Alliance Security Inc. of using autodialers and recorded messages to call millions of cellphones, residential lines and people on the National Do Not Call Registry.

The Settlement affects individuals who received text messages from Alarm.com and third party dealer Alliance Security Inc, at any time since October 15, 2013. If the Settlement is approved, the millions of eligible persons will receive an estimated cash award that is likely to be between $95 and $143, based on a conservative 10-to-15 percent claims rate, but could be even less if the claim rate is higher.

If you chose NOT TO OPT OUT you are entitled to only the amount estimated above.

Know your legal rights. You could be entitled to much more if you have received a substantial number of robocalls from Alarm.com.

Under the TCPA (Telephone Consumer’s Protection Act) you are entitled to damages of $500 up to $1,500 PER CALL! This is money you could possibly receive only by opting OUT

You are still in time to opt out, even if you have filed claim in the class action suit. Don’t miss this chance to get what you deserve

Multiple calls on my home number and our cell numbers. Should we opt out or file a claim. How do we know how many?

I received a postcard offering me a small settlement. I want to opt out and file individually instead to receive more compensation for the endless annoying robocalls they made to my cell pfone. What are my next steps?
