The Lemberg Law “Do-Not-Call-Complaints” Scholarship has been awarded to Gabrielle Onyema, a sophomore at Roosevelt University in Illinois. A native of Chicago, Gabrielle is working toward a double major in English and marketing.
Ultimately, Gabrielle says, “I want to write web content or write marketing slogans. Either way, I’ll be writing something.”
Her ambition doesn’t end with two college degrees. “I want to start an organization for young writers,” she said. “That’s what kept me writing – people encouraging me because I was good at it.”
When she’s not in class, Gabrielle enjoys hanging out in the library and reading about ancient history. On free admission days, she takes her three younger brothers to Chicago museums. “They like the planetarium a lot,” she says.
She’s thankful to receive the Lemberg Law scholarship. “Before going into college, I knew about the financial burdens,” she says, “ but I didn’t go do as much as I should have” in applying for scholarships. “This scholarship will ease my financial burden and support my future goals.”
“Gabrielle did a great job with her video submission,” said Sergei Lemberg, principal of Lemberg Law. “I’m pleased that we’ll be able to help her continue her studies.”
