A $1.19 million settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging Pepsi violated the violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by procuring consumer reports for employment purposes without  proper disclosure or any prior consent

Pepsi does not admit any wrongdoing but the company agreed to settle the FCRA class action lawsuit and avoid the burden and expense of ongoing litigation.

The Settlement affects certain individuals whom Bottling Group LLC, Grayhawk Leasing LLC or New Bern Transport Co. (otherwise referred to as Pepsi Beverages Company or PBC) ran a background check on between the dates of June 19, 2015 and October 2, 2017 . If the Settlement is approved, the thousands of eligible persons will receive an estimated cash award that is likely not to exceed $30 but could be less.

If you chose NOT TO OPT OUT you are entitled to only the amount estimated above.
