Can you help me file a No Fee Lawsuit against Hunter Warfield?

Absolutely.  You can sue a debt collector. Here are some Sample Cases Filed in Federal Court

Complaints against Hunter Warfield, Inc. cite problems resulting from disputes about the validity of debts, the accuracy of information reported to the credit reporting agencies, and allegations of harassment and abuse. In August 2019,  a complainant stated that he had returned a phone call regarding an alleged debt and “was yelled at and hung up on several times over possible payment options.” According to the complainant, when he “reached out to HWI, he spoke to someone about getting an itemized list regarding the alleged debt that was owed to a property management company.”He said he had “spoken with a representative, and she gave him 3 options—one was a settlement amount, and two were repayment… options” with high monthly payments. He said he had “advised her that he was not able to pay the requested amount at this time.” Allegedly, the HWI representative “transferred him to her supervisor, stating he may be able to assist with a lower amount.” The complainant again “asked for an itemized list sent to his email, because he did not believe the… alleged charges were accurate.” The HWI representative allegedly “said that she would send it to the complainant’s email.” However, “once the supervisor got on the phone, he was very rude and said that he was not going to lower any payment options, and that if he didn’t pay,” the debt would be sent to an attorney, so Hunter Warfield could sue him. The complainant continued to ask about bi-weekly payments and why if he “attempted to make any payments they would …not” accept them, but the HWI representative “just kept cutting him off and getting loud.” The complainant “ asked him to hold on so that he could take him off of his car phone,” and the HWI representative “said that he was not going to do anything for him,” except to just send the account to an attorney because he knew the complainant “was playing games and needed to pay his debt now.” Hunter Warfield allegedly used obscene language and threatened him, then yelled at him and hung up. The complainant called back and spoke to another representative. The complainant  advised him “that he was just speaking with someone and… had questions about repayment,” but the representative “said that he was not going to talk to him about that; … that he had already spoken to his superior”; and that there was nothing left to discuss. The complainant asked the representative to listen to his questions, and the representative told him that he would not listen; “that he was not going to speak to the complainant anymore;…that he was sending him straight to an attorney because he did not have time to argue”; and then hung up on him again. The complainant said he only wanted to ask if he could “split the monthly payment into two bi-weekly payments to add up to the sum of the minimum monthly payment.” He stated that “the amount of disrespect and lack of customer service shown by HWI is not acceptable.” As soon as he “asked for an itemized list of charges, they immediately did not want to work with him.” He said he was “attempting to purchase a home…and wants this off of his credit,” but HWI was “not willing to even assist with payment options.”

“Seriously! Thank you a thousand times over! The debt collector kept phoning me but would not give me any information regarding the debt that I owed except the sum. I’ve rented apartments in the past Three, to Five years, and I’ve had assistance with my rent payment provided by a PHA. Section 8 Voucher. To the rigorous standards of the local PHA, (HUD) , a individual that rent from a property in the same State,City,Town, as to where the PHA,(HUD) office is located and operates. Prior to being admitted to occupy The/A apartment,a house, duplex, and other residential property that qualifies to be suitable, and to standard of The/A PHA, (HUD) there are inspections conducted by Inspectors on a Federal Level. Prior to,and Ending a tenants lease terms. After a Recipient of Section 8 is at end of lease terms, or during the process, the residential property the individual renter rented for lease terms, Must be inspected by Federal Inspectors before the next Voucher, Section 8 Voucher will be issued to the potential client,( Tenant). If you own any money to to current landlord or property management company, you will have to pay it up before you can receive another Section 8 Voucher. If there are Damages to the/a property occupied by the/a current receipent of section 8, that person, or the occupants of the dwelling will have to pay what cost are calculated for repairs for damages. Their will be no Section 8 Voucher issued and there are strict mandates when it comes to time. Also in Texas The Texas Apparent Association Lease agreement has a Move In and Move Out check list for inspections, conducted by, landlord and tenants. If Landlord has evidence of Damages, The Existing Federal Inspectors would have provided to both landlord and tenant documentation evidencing the damages or deficiencies within the Standardized Procedure. Also the landlord would have presented the Move In /Move Out check list, which has ,and will impact the presented information. I don’t owe this Property Management Company, Landlord, for any such sums of money. I moved out and was cleared by the Realtor in Person, she made it clear to me as I did to her. The apartment, had been, returned in conduction as meeting the Property Owner,or Property Management company. I than proceeded to move to next apartment. Section 8 Voucher issued in Full. I have The Move In Move Out Document provided to me by the Property Owner or Property Management, signed by me and Blank as Blank. No Checks on Check list contributing to damages. I occupy at this moment an apartment under Section 8 HUD Voucher. Validation, not. Also I was talked at with bad language. I can provide self authenticating documentation. My Credit Score Suffer, HWI , called using different numbers, at different times, leaving recorded messages on my device. The inappropriate charges appeared on each credit report ing agencies, credit reporting list, Twice, for the same Unheard of charges. I’m am in full pursuit of clearing my credit report to have a good credit score. I have been denied apartments due to the negatives reported by HWI. Homeless for a Year. Yea, you bet’a believe this is Thieft, supported by greed, and evidenced through corruption. I’m an American Veteran.

I received a call from Carlos at hunterwarfield he was very rude , harassing me saying I have to have the money . When I explained my hardship he said “well congratulations” I asked to speak to a supervisor . He placed Frank on the line who was same as rude as the other representative. I was explaining I planned to pay them this month and he was laughing about my financial situation. I’m sure the phone call was recorded and they were very disrespectful and at the end of the conversation he told me to get off his phone .

I sent a letter asking for validation of debt, they sent me an encrypted message that I can’t open, they call daily using a blocker and when I have spoken with them they get nasty and threaten to sue me and my husband. They are awful, told me they sent a letter years ago and don’t have to give a copy of that letter because I never received it….that it is not their problem. They refuse to validate the debt, refuse to mail paper anything, and refuse to stop calling!! I just want to buy my house!!

  • Lorance W

My previous landlord took my entire deposit and basically made me pay for the bad carpets that were there when I moved in and etc “cleaning” fees and sold the debt to Hunter Warfield who since 2017 has been calling me nearly every single day multiple times a day after being told numerous times to not call this number again and even when I threatened the act of a lawsuit against them they continually harass me. I just want them to leave me alone.

  • Dianna

This company calls all day every day and will not stop! It has become harassment! They need to leave my alone! STOP

  • yora

I rented an apartment, paid my bills on time, when I closed out, they started charging me for things they should not have charged me. I heard from them once when I disputed the amount and the only thing they sent me was a copy of my lease. never a phone number nor information in which to contact them. I finally got in touch with them and have been paying since till I paid it off but they are charging 18 percent. One ignorant supervisor informed me they will continue to charge me interest accrued daily on the amount that I have already paid off alleging its $5 per day. I am not allowed to speak with her supervisor since management does not take calls. They are not always available to pick up their phones and when they do, none of them can give you a correct answer. I told them not to call since they called my husband and so they refused to speak with me alleging they cannot speak with me because of the do not call on my account. Very deceptive and unscrupulous practices. They have you by the balls because they know they have your credit in their hands.

  • Manny

These people are rude. I have gotten calls from before 8 am and after 9 pm PST. I blocked them but they still leave voicemails. Seriously annoying. Towards the end if the month they will call 6 to 8 times a day. Its all robo calls too.

  • Sherry D

Hunter Warfield keeps calling and harassing me about a debt that doesn’t belong to me. I have reported them to the BBB in Florida as well as ask them for debt validation. They would not send me proof so they had to remove the debt. This was at least 6 months ago. Then all of a sudden they send me a copy of the contract and my signature is no where on the contract. I received a call today from them again and they have put this debt on my credit again without warning. I want this off my credit and the calls to stop.

  • Janet L

Hunter Warfield popped up on my credit report suddenly in 2018. I called them to ask what this was about the person I spoke with told me I had been sent to their legal department and would have to transfer me. When I asked that person in the”legal” department to send me something as to why they thought I owed money they said they would and to date I have not received anything.

  • DR

If my debt is already paid (directly) through my original debt. Hunter Warfield thinks I owe them but I don’t. I’v never encountered a collector this aggressive. For my particular reason, absolutely absurd!
Debt paid for, no reason for this company to be involved.
I’v tried to speak with employees from Hunter W feeling like there’s no patience with the staff representing Hunter W. personally feeling necletected and hopeless at this point.
How do I stop this debt furthering my personal and financial life? Note* paid in full as soon as I was aware of debt. To the original debt as they FULLY accepted payment.

  • Sha-Nette B

I called them to cancel just my February payment due to medical illness and wasn’t going ti get a full check. Michael Leak canceled my entire plan then hung the phone up on me without saying anything. He read off the info really fast & before I could finish my sentence he hung up. Called back again for another gentleman solely the entire time coughing in the phone. Asked to speak to a supervisor. Supposedly he was transferring me & hung up the phone 3rd time the charm got a young lady really nice transferred me to someone who sounded like the 1st person, Michael Leaks. He got really nasty, talking over me when I asked him to stop interrupting me he takes even lost over me then hung up the phone. Now they have the nerve to keep calling me. This company is absolutely ridiculous. I’d a class action suit is started please count me in

  • Pam H

We do not have any unpaid debt. Hunter Warfield calls us at least twice a day leaving messages to call him. We are being harassed beyond belief.

  • Matthew

I have not received any documentation regarding the alleged debt. The debt seems double. They started that they mailed me the info and I haven’t received anything. Yet they are increasing the amount and reporting it each month. I only know this through creditwise. I am trying to buy a house so I do not need this negative mark on my credit.

  • linda e

Hunter Warfield Collections reported to the credit bureau and each month they are adding more to it. I am not sure why or how they are getting away with this collection practice. I tried to tell them that the amount was inaccurate. The next thing I knew it was on my credit. I have disputed, but the FCRA has done nothing as well. Once something is reported on your credit, the amount should be locked even if it is wrong I will owe thousands of dollars by the time it falls off in 7 years.

  • Hope R

I sent a compliant to the BBB on Hunter Warfield because I was making payments and they still tried to send my name to their legal department. Right now I am in the process of getting another agency to help me with the complaint against Hunter Warfield. The Representative stated the my name is going to be transferred to the legal department and they are going to make sure that I pay more than $75.00 per month and they keep adding more information to the Credit Agency about my account and want this to stop. I can send you that information.

  • Ed S

Hunter Warfield has not only violated the FCRA, FDCPA, in their efforts to collect an alleged debt from me, but their client list contains slumlord apartment complexes preying on college kids and young people who NEED credit, and thus, willingly pay their stacked fees and put up with terrible maintenance and office staff responsiveness.
The cards are stacked against these young people and I suspect a class action suit may be worth looking into to bankrupt HW into complying with Federal Laws.

  • Mark A

Have been getting calls from hw. Yet when they leave a massage they only say who they are, not asking to speak to anyone just call them.
Getting my debts taken care of. Do not need this.

  • Tishonda A

I would like a free case evaluation

  • K R

They wrote to me and sent the letter to my lawyer to deal with instead of responding they ignore the lawyers and place a derogatory remark on my credit file. I have a letter stating that had not owed anything to enclave of Wesley chapel but I guess they did not have the first letter that said I owed nothing
