Can BYL Collection Services Sue Me or Garnish My Wages?

It is illegal for a debt collector to make empty threats to sue you or garnish your wages. It is also unlikely DCI would sue you for a debt you may not owe or they cannot validate. However, debt collection agencies are known to have summoned debtors to court and garnish wages after a default judgement. Contacting an attorney BEFORE this could possibly happen would be a smart move. We’ve helped thousands of consumers fight back against unscrupulous debt collection harassers. Find out if we can help you too today!

Can you help me file a No Fee Lawsuit against BYL Collection Services?

Absolutely.  You can sue a debt collector. Here is a Sample Case Filed in Federal Court:

In 2007, a judge in U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, granted a motion to dismiss a few defendants in Butler vs. BYL Collection Services for alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and various state laws. According to the judge’s decision, the plaintiff claimed that BYL Collection Services called and sent letters to the customer demanding $2,960 in payments for a rental arrangement. Apparently, the girl had rented an apartment but had to go out for health reasons on the recommendation of her physician. The judge granted a motion by the apartment complex and management firm to be dropped as defendants in the lawsuit because the FDCPA only applies to third party debt collection agencies, rather than original creditors.
